DazeStack and Ash Digital Services (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Bookmark Cleaner browser extension (the “Extension”). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Extension.
We operate under a strict “Local-First” philosophy. Your bookmarks, browsing history, and personal preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit this data to our servers for storage or analysis.
1. Data Collection and Usage
1.1. Personal Data
We do not collect, store, or sell your Personally Identifiable Information (PII). We do not require you to create an account, and we do not track your usage behavior via analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel).
1.2. Network Requests & IP Addresses
While the Extension primarily operates offline, limited network activity occurs in the following specific scenarios:
- Dynamic Partner Offers: The Extension may fetch a list of partner tools or offers from a remote configuration file (hosted on Google Sheets) to keep the dashboard updated. When this fetch occurs, your IP address is visible to the hosting provider (Google) as part of the standard HTTP request, but it is not logged or stored by DazeStack.
- Link Validation (Broken Link Checker): If you utilize the “Clean Broken Links” feature, the Extension will send HTTP “ping” requests (HEAD/GET requests) directly from your browser to the URLs in your bookmarks to verify if they are active (e.g., checking for 404 errors). These requests originate from your IP address directly to the target website. DazeStack does not intercept or log these requests.
2. Permissions and Technical Access
To function, the Extension requires specific permissions within your browser. These permissions are used solely for the stated purposes:

3. Third-Party Services and Links
3.1. Partner Offers
The Extension dashboard may display curated offers or links to partner tools. These offers are loaded either from a local backup file or a remote configuration file.
- No Data Sharing: We do not share your bookmarks or usage history with these partners.
- Voluntary Interaction: If you click a partner link, you will be redirected to a third-party website. Once you leave the Extension, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. We advise you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
3.2. Hosting Providers
The dynamic configuration file for offers is hosted on Google Sheets (Google Cloud). By using the extension, you acknowledge that standard web traffic logs (IP address, User Agent) may be processed by Google in accordance with their privacy policy, purely for the purpose of serving the file.
4. Data Retention
Since we do not collect your personal data, we have no data to retain. All bookmark data resides solely in your browser profile. If you uninstall the Extension, all local preferences associated with it are immediately deleted from your browser.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our Extension does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
6. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Odisha, India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from the use of this Extension shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Rourkela or the appropriate courts in Odisha.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
