Nor, I am promoting Ortel or I don’t hold anything against Ortel. I have genuinely written about my personal experiences, and some ways which I followed to improve my experiences with Ortel Communications Broadband Service.

Ortel has been providing its broadband services through HFC network for a long time. Subscribers are able to access the broadband services by using a DOCSIS 2.0 cable modem. Ortel fiber backbone and the ‘last mile’ network enable customers to access high-speed services. Ortel offers various packages to clients with speed ranging from 512kbps to 5 Mbps with different monthly plans.
At some places, Ortel has started providing 50 Mbps Plan with DOCSIS 3.0.
Good News For BSNL users: BSNL has increased the minimum speed post FUP to 1 Mbps. Hence, you can get 1 Mbps plan at Rs 545 (approx) throughout the Nation.
