Role and Responsibilities: After completing my MBA from IIM Sambalpur, I embarked on a transformative journey with Infosys BPM. Over the course of three years, I progressed through various roles, starting as an Analyst, Senior Analyst and moving up to a Senior Associate Consultant in the Technology Solutions Group. My responsibilities encompassed process assessments, digital transformation initiatives, and project management, focusing on enhancing business processes and delivering significant financial savings for global clients.
Key Experiences:
- Strategic Process Improvement: I gained substantial expertise in assessing and optimizing processes across Purchase-to-Pay (PTP), Order-to-Cash (OTC), and Record-to-Report (R2R). Leveraging tools like Generative AI, Blackline, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA), I identified and implemented many process improvement opportunities, leading to projected annual savings and a reduction of FTEs.
- Digital Transformation: As part of the Digital Transformation Services team, I managed the implementation of ServiceNow CSM for an Electronics Manufacturer, overseeing project and change management, solution design, and stakeholder engagement. This resulted in minimal downtime, elimination of backlogs, and a great FTE Reduction.
- Financial Optimization: I played a pivotal role in generating significant cash savings for clients. For instance, I delivered in cash savings for an FMCG conglomerate by optimizing working capital and achieved cash savings through improved supplier payment terms for Capex MRO and MBS projects.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Implementing analytics-based dashboards using PowerBI allowed me to replace traditional Excel reports, providing comprehensive visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs). This enabled better pipeline formation, target setting, and gap identification.
Key Learnings:
- Practical Application of Theoretical Knowledge: My MBA education provided a strong foundation in management principles, but it was at Infosys BPM that I learned to apply these concepts in practical scenarios. The hands-on experience with process management, data analysis, and client interactions enriched my understanding of business dynamics.
- Process Optimization: I gained substantial expertise in identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements. Working on diverse projects, I developed skills in streamlining workflows, reducing operational costs, and leveraging technology for better performance.
- Client Management: Building and maintaining client relationships was a significant aspect of my role. I learned the importance of effective communication, understanding client needs, and delivering solutions that align with their strategic objectives.
- Team Collaboration: The collaborative environment at Infosys BPM taught me the value of teamwork and the importance of diverse perspectives in solving complex problems. I enhanced my leadership skills and learned to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
